The number 1 and Cherry Bombs

Nothing like saying I am back and then not following up on that huh???  My apologies....I am not sure if I mentioned in my other post or not but my husband and I are preparing to move to North Carolina so much of my time has been spent on getting all the moving stuff squared away as well as dealing with our place here in Tennessee being shown.  Enough with my excuses though, I have been able to spend a little bit in the kitchen continuing to make sweet treats.

I had someone ask me if I could possible do the number 1 for her daughter's first birthday the end of this month.  I thought it was a super cute idea and ran with it.  Below is what I came up with.

I then moved onto creating new flavors as I love to do currently!  I came up with the new flavor, cherry bomb.  It consists of cherry vanilla cake and I covered them in chocolate.  So so yummy!! I made some cake bites with them and are calling them Cherry Bomb cake bites.

And I am back!

So, I knew I was going to get bit busy with graduation time around and then us having to head out of town to look for a place to live in what will be our new city this July but I never intended to be away for so long!! I am so so glad to be back and have been working on oh so much lately.  First off the blog has a new look thanks to Kelley at The Grant Life http://www.thegrantlife.com/.  I really cannot thank her enough for taking the time to create the new look and at no cost to me at all.  It really means a lot being that my business is still very new. Love her creativeness, if you have not stopped by her blog you need to!

My busy times started with surprising my family with a visit to North Carolina.  We were already there looking for a place to live and I thought what a great time to surprise them!  The plan was to go watch my brother's baseball game and bring him some sweet treats for his birthday which was that weekend.  Plans changed quickly as his game was cancelled and my grandfather had to have emergency surgery.  So, we really surprised everyone when we arrived at the hospital after his surgery.  I am glad to report that he made it through surgery and that although we are not totally out of the woods yet we are taking and appreciating one day at a time.  Here are the baseball pops I surprised Allen with:

Then it was time for graduation pops. My younger sister in-law graduated from Emory University so I created these for her:

I then had a request to make some pops/bites with the theme sweets for a sweetie.  So, here is what I came up with for that request:

I then moved onto my Hello Kitty cake pop order for a little girl's birthday.  They were made in vanilla cake and chocolate cake and some had some "bling" on their bows.

I then moved onto a simple yet elegant request for some roses and hearts for an anniversary. And this brings me to my last order of the business. And to complete my busy last few weeks, I was asked to do some red margarita pops for a bachelorette party. Don't they just look so yummy!!

I must say that I do love and am thankful to be busy with my cake pops so keep bringing the orders on and sharing the love!  :)

Busy week and Spring time fun!

Whew this week was a very busy one for me! I had our annual meeting with my full time job, down in Orlando part of the week and then I ran in the St. Jude Country Music 1/2 Marathon here in Nashville on Saturday. The course was very challenging as Nashville is VERY hilly and it was a bit warm but I finished and it was for an awesome cause!

I somehow found some time to complete by spring cake pops and bites order to go out tomorrow.  A repeat customer of mine contacted me as they have a family member that is undergoing cancer treatment and so to brighten their day they requested some spring pops and bites in my new favorite flavor, lemon drop. It is such a light spring/summer flavor.

One, two, three, margaritas!

I love when people stop by my facebook page or message me to see if I can make a certain design in terms of cake pops.  This week I was challenged with the request for a strawberry margarita.  A friend is attending a bachelorette party in June and has to bring a desert.  What a fun idea! So, here are my three attempts at the margaritas. The last one on the right is my favorite, I think the shape turned out perfect.

A little of this a little of that

Being that I don't have a custom order to work on this weekend does not mean I am not in the kitchen creating cuteness along with yumminess.  :)  I had a request probably 2 weeks ago now to try my hand at Princess Belle cake pops. I immediately knew what I wanted to do just "life" got in the way of trying these sooner. I think the color is a good match just needs some smoothing over on the design and then it will be princes worthy in my book.

I then did another generic princess and it didn't turn out too shabby either.

I then moved onto getting some inventory out of my refrigerator and made some Dark Chocolate Butter Pecan bites they turned out super yummy! Hope the lucky recipients at my husband's talk on Monday enjoy them! :)

Just as a side note my sales for Mother's Day, Teacher Appreciation, Administrative Professionals Day, and Graduation are up at www.kerisweetlife.com and more pictures can always be found on my facebook page.

Cake Bites

Now that all the Easter orders are out the door it was time to work on some cake bites!  Still my yummy cake pops just minus the stick!  I love making all my sweets but the bites can be so much fun and a good switch up as you can decorate and get as messy as you want and they still look pretty and are always oh so yummy!!

And for a new little twist on presenting these tasty sweet treats, check this out! So cute and color customizable!
