GO VANDY!!

I have just completed my first order of Vanderbilt themed pops.  I was a little hesitant on promising that there would be Vandy stars in the batch as they are a bit tricky to dip but low and behold I pulled it off!! There are three flavors in this order, yellow cake with butter cream frosting, chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and last but not least red velvet with cream cheese frosting.  I decided to dip them in white and black.  On the white ones I used gold luster duster to match Vandy colors. I hope the cheerleaders enjoy them on Saturday!!

Baby Shower time again!

Well I hate to say it but I am a little late with this post. I had to get the pictures off of my phone to post. I made some cake pop bites for a baby shower the first weekend in November and they were a hit! They were oreo balls dipped in pink peppermint outer coating and then drizzled with chocolate for an added touch.  They turned out much cuter than I anticipated, which is always good!  I heard that they were a hit and the leftovers have been flying off of her desk at work.

Busy times

Thank you so much for those of you that placed orders with me last month.  It kept me very busy but I enjoyed every minute of it!!

I have been working on some oreo mint bites for a baby shower this weekend so I will post pics soon as I am halfway done with them now. I will also be working on Thanksgiving pops this weekend so look for some pictures and a new sale on the website soon!!

On another note, I have been selected to help a fellow business woman with running her two businesses, A to Zebra Celebrations (see button in right column) and My Party is Over Resale Party Supplies (also button in the right column.  I will be assisting her in the area of marketing/advertising.  I am pretty excited about it as I feel I can learn so much from her as I am pretty new to all this myself.  You can check out my introduction and the two other wonderful ladies that she has selected to help her in other areas,  http://atozebracelebrations.blogspot.com/.

Baby Shower Time

So this week I have been working on a baby shower order.  The colors of the shower are lime green, hot pink, black and white.  The host decided that she wanted lime green pops with hot pink polka dots and black pops with hot pink polka dots.  I was a little unsure of how this would turn out at first but I have to admit after seeing the finished product they turned out too cute!  The flavors were funfetti cake with butter cream frosting and red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting. I hope that the mama to be and the attendees love them!  Taking some much needed R&R this weekend but will be back busy in the kitchen next week with a Halloween order, maybe two and another baby shower order.  :)

Brides and Grooms shipped!

Busy fall weekend

So the out of state order of bride and grooms and Halloween pops are ready to ship out tomorrow.  I hope that they arrive safely and that they are enjoyed by the recipients! I made another dozen Halloween pops for someone local and those will be delivered tomorrow.  Made the first of two carrot cakes to start on wedding pops, which I will use luster duster on, to be delivered this week.  Then it will be time to finally send some pops to my brother and then work on what I will be making for a bake sale that will benefit a local charity.  Also, have an order for a baby shower the end of the month, I love the colors they have chosen for the shower and can't wait to post pics of the pops when they are complete!!  Busy start to fall but I would not have it any other way!!  :)

What a weekend!

The weekend was quite busy for me in the kitchen but I really wouldn't have it any other way.  Received an order on Friday for some bridal pops and I am going to use luster duster for the first time to add some shimmer to them so I am excited about them!  Then late Friday evening I received another order for some bride and grooms and some Halloween pops!  I am beyond thankful for the orders I have been receiving and only hope that they keep coming!  Of course I will post pics of all the pops made.  Stay tuned!  If you haven't checked out the website yet please do! www.kerisweetlife.com  I worked on it last week some items were added, now shipping!

Halloween Time!

Birthday cupcakes!

Last week was my husband's birthday and every year I make him a cake, brownies, basically something sweet.  This year he decided that he wanted cupcakes so I made him some chocolate coconut cupcakes.  The cupcakes themselves are chocolate and the topping is a very light whipped cream with marshmallow and coconut topped with more coconut and drizzled with semi-sweet chocolate.  I hear that they are as yummy as they look! 

Bride and Groom Pops

Bride and groom pops were delivered to the bridal shower as of this morning and I hope that all the ladies enjoyed them as much as I did making them.  The brides are white cake with butter cream frosting and the grooms are chocolate cake with chocolate frosting.  I really like how they all turned out and like the touch of the tags on every other one, it really pulls it all together.

Cupcakes!!

So, this weekend I decided to start working on cupcakes. My first batch was an apple streusel cupcake. This one did not require frosting as it has a streusel top but I am already thinking that next time I make them I will add a caramel drizzle to the top for extra yumminess! The second batch I made was a peanut butter cupcake with cream cheese frosting and nuts on top for decoration. Of course with this batch as well I am already thinking of how to make them different and yummy. I would of course get a wider frosting tip to change the look of the frosting but for a first try of the frosting it did not turn out bad at all. Both the batches turned out very well and very tasty if I do say so myself, I will be passing some out to my taste testers tomorrow and I am sure that they will let me know what they think. Stay tuned for more yummy cupcakes to come!! Don't worry there will be more pops as well too. ;)
